The silicon valley firm has raised funds from the likes of Y combinator to advance its radar hardware technology. The company is working towards a major technical milestone by launching the first every satellite constellation that utilizes formation flying radar to enhance space based observation.
Array labs has developed a unique technological approach in radar architecture that utilizes mass-manufacturing techniques from the consumer electronics and telecommunications sectors. This allows them to manufacture radar systems that are 100x more powerful than conventional radars, at just a fraction of the cost – 1%. The company aims to do to radar what SpaceX did for rocket launches, replace expensive bespoke systems with scalable, commercial grade technology.
Originally focusing on providing 3D Earth mapping data, Array labs is expanding its business in three sectors. Radar payloads – Low cost, high powered instruments sold to satellite providers. Sovereign satellite systems – fully integrated space craft for customers who want to operate their own radar sets. Data products – 3D imagery from Array lab’s own constellation of satellites.
The company has seen significant growth, doubling its staff in 2025 and has secured revenue contracts with customers in mining and autonomous AI.
