
Nio’s EV car brand Firefly has reached a significant milestone in its international strategy. Following its initial launch on 19 April 2025, the brand is expanding its presence across European and Asian markets.
On 18 November 2025, Nio started mass production of its right hand drive models, with its first batch destined for Singapore, a strategic entry into the Southeast Asian market. Within 4 months of its launch, Nio managed to launch its operations to Netherlands, Norway and Belgium, with upcoming expansions into Denmark, Austria, Greece, Portugal and Luxembourg.
Firefly is positioning itself as a premium urban mobility solution. The brand aims to redefine the small car category by focusing on various aspects. For high end safety, Nio is integrating its models with advanced active and passive safety features. With its intelligent design, the EV brand is focusing on smart features and efficient use of space. On performance, it combines original design with dynamic driving capabilities specifically for city environments.
