Photonic’s Entanglement first architecture is specifically engineered to overcome the scalability barriers faced by traditional quantum systems, allowing quantum information to be distributed across telecommunications infrastructure. By focusing on silicon “T-centres” Photonic aims to create a fault tolerant system that can scale across networked modules, similar to modern cloud data centers, rather than being confined to a single massive machine.
Photonic’s platform would be a catalyst for climate change, materials science and telecommunications. With the new capital Photonic plans to expand its 160 person team and accelerate its progression towards commercialization.
The future is interesting, we are now witnessing the scale of quantum infrastructure and hopefully in the near future we would see quantum computers deployed in data centers, transforming our cloud infrastructure. The applications to medicine, materials discovery and communications would be massive.
