Skild AI has secured a significant milestone funding round with prominent figures such as NVDIA, Softbank and Jeff Bezos.

The primary focus of the company is a concept they call “omni-bodied intelligence”. Instead of traditional software built for robotics, Skild AI has developed a universal brain, a foundation model designed to control any robot regardless of its physical form. The AI can power anything from humanoids to quadrupeds to industrial arms, allowing them to perform various tasks such as household chores and navigating steep slopes.

The Skild Data Flywheel functions as a self reinforcing learning cycle that continuously enhances the Skild Brain’s intelligence as it encounters new environments and challenges. This system utilizes a sophisticated data infrastructure that involves 2 different phases of model training. During the pre-training phase, the model ingests knowledge from trillions of simulated scenarios and billions of online videos to comprehend how objects move in the real physical world. This foundational knowledge is then refined through post training. Human-guided teleoperation and direct feedback from robots working in industries such as construction, security and factory assembly are incorporated back into the foundational model, creating a closed loop for model training.

The company’s unique AI models have allowed it to grow from $0 to $30 million in revenue during the early months of 2025. Moving forward, the company intends to use the funding to scale its data collection, develop its AI models and architectures and expand its workforce globally.
